26th & Kostner

This project was planned as a way to revitalize an abandoned industrial site at the edge of the Hispanic ‘Little Village’ neighborhood of Chicago. It is designed with more than 260,000 SF of Retail and Cinemas coupled with a mix of residential building types totaling over 400 units.

The residential development plan intended to create a sense of community through the construction of a ‘central park’ encircled by an elementary school, library and community center. This main open space complemented by other spaces designed as ‘defensible space’ neighborhood within the new residential units.
